Al Kalima

Al Kalima offers a fresh look at the intrinsic beauty of the Word of God. In this approach, the art of calligraphy secures a place of honour and distinction among other decorative arts in Islam, spreading peace, harmony and the message of God. In the exhibition catalogue, the selection of the calligraphy is examined through the use of historical accounts, the Holy Qur’an and Hadith. The publication is divided into six chapters, which range from the Declaration of Faith (Shahadah) to the richly embroidered velvet kiswah door panel of the Holy Kaabah.
