Virtues And Merits Of The Quranic Chapters

While all the chapters (surahs) of the Quran contain the speech of Allah and are equal in this regard, some of them have been accorded certain special merits and virtues. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would read certain surahs on certain days, while others were read for certain purposes. This book highlights virtues and merits of different chapters using authentic traditions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace).

Al-Hafiz Abu Muhammad Sharaf ad-Din Al-Mu'min ibn Khalaf ibn Abi al-Hasan ibn Sharaf ad-Din at-Tusi ad-Dimyati, popularly known as Ibn Al Majid was born in 613 AH in Tunah a district of the City of Tunnis. He spend the major portion of his life in Damascus and Cairo. He died in 705 AH and buried in Bab an-Nasr in Cairo
