Loving the Messenger of Allah an Integral of Faith

Having true and genuine love for the Messenger of Allah
SAW is a divine command, and cultivating this love to the point that he
becomes more beloved to one than one's very self was described by the
Prophet as the hallmark of true faith.

In emulation of the great Imam
al-Bukhari, who detailed the love of the Messenger of Allah SAW in the
Book of Faith in his Sahih, the author and leading hadith authority of
the Levant, Shaykh Nur al-Din 'Itr, acquaints the reader with the true
meaning of sincere and earnest love for the Prophet SAW in light of the
Qur'an and prophetic speech on this most pertinent of topics. Moreover,
Shaykh Nur al-Din goes on to enumerate anecdotal evidence of the
tremendous heights reached in loving him SAW, exhibited and expressed by
his family and Companions, and thus provides the reader with a distinct
formula to gain, increase and perfect one's love for the Mercy to the
Worlds.
