There have been a lot of questions, misconceptions and misunderstanding about the concept of bai'ah practised in the Sufi traditions. Although it is not the Sufi traditions where this practise began; it is where it was revived. the practice of taking Oath of Allegiance (bai'ah) goes all the way back to our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam as well.
This book attempts to explain the concept of Bai'ah and it's purposes in the light of Quran and the sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, the practices of the Sahabah and those pious scholars and saints who followed them. It also clears up confusions, misconceptions and misunderstanding that have crept in over the last couple of hundred years in this tradition.
