Women Between Islam & Westernism

The status of woman in Islam is the same as that of man. Injunctions about honour and respest enjoined for one sex are enjoined equally for the other sex.So far as rights in this world and rewards in the hereafter are concerned; there is no difference between the sexes. In the organization of daily living; both are equal participants and partners. Yet; Islam sees man as man and woman as woman and considering the natural differences; it advocates the principle of the division of labor between the two sexes rather than the equality of labour.

This book belies the claim by some orientalists that the fatal point of Islam is the degradation of women.
